Job Description

Chubb is looking for an IT leader with Architecture experience to join our IT Architecture team as Data Solution Architect for Latin America. The individual will be accountable for the overall solution design of data and analytics initiatives, adopting global standards and defining reusable patterns for the LatAm region. The individual will be working collaboratively with business and IT teams. He / she will define technical solutions for the data & analytics domains - reporting, data extraction, analytics, machine learning solutions. The solutions should manage the complexity of data extraction, consumption in a hybrid cloud environment and the non-functional requirements such as performance and security. The individual will work in a matrix reporting environment, aligning regional and local requirements with global teams.

The candidate is expected to act as SME, training / coaching other team members and business teams,

The candidate will also support improve adoption of standard EA Frameworks and best practices such as Domain Driven Design and define KPIs for the programs under his / her responsibility.

Qualifications

The individual is expected to have knowledge in a wide set of technologies within Data & Analytics domain. (databases, ML technologies, ETL technologies, event driven architectures, reporting and datawarehouses), and the different challenges related to the Domain within the financial services industry. The individual also needs to understand complexities of cloud migration / hybrid environments. He / she will also be responsible for governing the application portfolio across the lifecycle, including capacity / demand management, consolidation / retirement and opportunities for synergies / simplification.

The person should have experience in the challenges of managing data / integration / BI / reporting in real time and batch patterns. This person should have also a good understanding of data quality management and master data management patterns

Summary of key skills:

• Traditional ETL technologies (eg Informatica)
• Understanding of data modeling best practices, at a logical and physical level
• Solid understanding of Software Engineering patterns
• Experience in enterprise / legacy middleware and B2B integration patterns (batch and online)
• Experience in cloud environments with PaaS solutions (Azure preferred)
• Technical understanding of performance optimizations / capacity planning in database servers and datawarehouse environments
• Highly organized, possessing strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent written/verbal skills
• Ability to communicate in English
• Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word required.
• Ability to interact well with various levels of the organization.
• Ability to quickly learn project processes and their incorporation into the tools utilized.

• Experience in solution architecture in Insurance (preferred), Financial Services or Telecoms
