Systematically make analysis for the material under his management to avoid shortages/excess and take the appropriate actions to have a healthy inventory manage. Manage suppliers demand and logistics in order to support production adherence and delivery to customers. Maintain inventory levels of material according to company goals avoiding excess and looking as ZERO obsolete as primary goal. Look for freight cost optimization, Challenge all the actual concepts, MOQ, Long Lead times, etc. use the concept why, why, why. Coordinate and provide support to Plant with critical shortages, balance out's, ramp up/down's, new projects.
Responsibilities/Skills
Responsible of the pull of raw material based on demand using the ERP/ MRP and looking to avoid manual process where is possible to manage the demand. Sending the firm and forecast to the suppliers, ever need to validate the linearity of the demand, assure the communication with supplier on their portal and EDI is working properly. A basic is to confirm the demand with the suppliers.
Responsible to keep and verify the appropriate level of inventory on the numbers under this analyst, based on the demand on MRP, DOH, Open releases etc. tiering isolated data. Look for alternatives on stock with PKC/MSSL Plants (Mexico, Brasil, Estonia, China) distributors, competitors, manufacturers when a shortage is detected.
Support to BTS metric (manufacturing) and Delivery, avoiding the downtime by the lack of material. And having communication with CS and Manufacturing about shortages or affectations.
Follow up to shortages report on the numbers under his/her responsibility (per supplier and plant), based in DOH, Open Orders, leading meetings where is necessary with suppliers, logistics, Materials and CS to align the departments on critical situation, providing information related with quantities, ETA (estimated time arrivals), tracking #, carrier information. Communicate the critical materials and escalate on time and properly any point that can affect the operation
Coordinate and ensure supplier shipments to have the optimum freight cost, Identifying and implementing cost savings initiatives.
Coordinate Engineering changes and ramp up/downs with suppliers under his/her managing.
Review and coordinate data with A/P and Materials Receiving associates for missing payments.
Coordinate information with import-export depts. (supplier & PKC), to move raw material in Mexico, thru "Virtual Pedimentos".
Ensures organizational compliance with inventory management policies, contractual requirements, and governmental regulations. Identifies, analyzes, develops and implement best practices, processes and procedures for SCM.
Comply with the fulfil environmental, safety and health legal requirements set out in the legislation and regulations of our customers and other applicable stakeholder's requirements to whom we are related to our activities and products, as well as those EHS requirements established by the Company.
Required Profile
Education and Experience
Administration or Engineer degree, or equivalent degree.
3 Years of experience in automotive business, in areas related to Manufacturing, Materials, Planning, Logistics and/or Purchasing
Knowledge on logistics options.
Strong Knowledge of MS Office (excel domain)
Knowledge on BOM structures.
