The Role
We are looking for a Technical Architect to join our Global Technology team guiding Solera's key products for our international market. The Architect will support global IT teams in designing and implementing technical solutions, ensuring adherence to Solera's Best Practices. They should have no problem rolling up their sleeves to aid the teams to deliver, meeting with clients help gather requirements or diving deep into new technologies.

What You'll Do

Work as part of the global Technology Architecture team, alongside data, application, and solution architects

Understand company needs to define system specifications in accordance with company security policies, architecture standards, and architecture principles and best practices

Plan and design the structure of a technology solution, with a focus on security by design, capacity planning, and resiliency

Working out which IT products to use based on cost benefit analysis and research

Communicate system requirements and solutions to technical implementation teams

Ensure the implementation of agreed architecture and infrastructure, and they meet both user and business needs

Provide guidance and training to technical teams, transferring skills and knowledge to team members

Evaluate and select appropriate software or hardware and suggest integration methods

Promote the adoption of standard enterprise architecture and technology stacks across the organization, eliminating technology risks and unsupported technologies

Research, prototype and evangelize new technologies and solutions and communicate them verbally and via written document

Participate in the definition of the Tehcnology architecture strategy and the technology roadmap

What You'll Bring

Proven experience as a Technical Architect and or Expert in on or more technical fields

Understanding of strategic IT solutions in a large enterprise

Experience with various operating systems (e.g. Windows, Linux) and databases (e.g. SQL, Oracle)

Experience with virtualization and cloud technologies (e.g. VMware Azure AWS GCP)

Experience with Storage and Backup technologies (e.g. FC Block, NAS, Object)

Experience of network design, protocols, and concepts (e.g. Cisco ACI, TCP IP, DNS)

Experience of IT tooling and management systems (e.g. monitoring, IDAM, Security tools)

Experience applying Reverse Engineering.

Professional proficiency in English

Excellent communication skills and an ability to as part of a geo diverse organization

BSc BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

Demonstrated ability to:

Clearly communicate technical designs and objectives to large groups of people in person and via tele presence

Perform stakeholder management and present solutions to Senior leadership as required

See how parts interact with the whole (Systems thinking big picture thinking)

Lead others and work effectively as part of a team

Use Interpersonal and leadership skills (servant leadership, collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation skills)

Investigate technology innovations and research independently
