Automotive Company Seeking: Procurement Specialist
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in international companies.
Education: Degree in Business or Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial).
Certifications: APICS or any other Supply Chain training.
Additional Qualifications: MBA is a plus.
Responsibilities: The Buyer must maintain a clear understanding of all new programs, including:
Customer details
Start of Production (SOP)
End of Production (EOP)
Platform specifications
Annual volume
Key duties include:
Attending Program Management/APQP meetings.
Upon Gate 3 (Method Approval), evaluating New Program Gates and resolving open issues in the CIM Database (CDB).
Sourcing pre-series materials to the integrator and plant, including placing purchase orders.
Coordinating with Corporate Logistics to ensure timely delivery to the plant per CDB requirements.
Budget control for procurement activities.
For Series Production:
Establishing supplier agreements based on corporate quotes.
Requesting and approving PPAP documentation, ensuring proper workflow submission in CDB.
Ensuring forecasts are provided to suppliers according to lead times and securing initial deliveries.
For outsourcing RFQs (e.g., E-coating, Zinc coating, etc.):
Obtaining quotes within project lead-time while considering all relevant project and part information.
Operational Objectives:
Overseeing all serial production projects with a comprehensive understanding of:
Customer requirements
SOP & EOP timelines
Platform details
Annual volume
BIPs for service requirements
Managing service requirements by securing BIP demand and ensuring spot premium pricing or obsolescence costs are charged back to customers, in coordination with Sales.
