About the Role
As a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE), you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our supplier base. Your work will directly impact production continuity and product excellence by driving supplier performance, leading problem-solving efforts, and supporting new part qualifications. You'll collaborate cross-functionally to ensure that our suppliers meet the highest standards of quality and responsiveness.
Key Responsibilities
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you'll be responsible for:
- Monitoring and analyzing supplier scorecards to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Defining and maintaining performance measurement criteria for suppliers.
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives with high-impact suppliers in collaboration with internal teams.
- Driving effective and timely 8D problem-solving processes with suppliers:
- Efficient: Closed on time.
- Effective: Root cause resolved.
- Identifying internal suppliers that should be integrated into the performance monitoring and improvement system.
- Managing the qualification of new production parts through the PPAP process.
- Overseeing the quarantine warehouse control process.
- Acting as the first point of contact for production impacts caused by suppliers, ensuring rapid containment and resolution.
Job Objective
- Ensure zero production line disruptions due to supplier-related issues.
- Provide rapid containment when defective material affects production.
Requirements

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced conversational English.
- Power BI and Power Apps.
- HVAC product knowledge (refrigeration).
- Measurement tools: vernier caliper, micrometer, tape measure.
- Quality tools: 8Ds, PPAP, CPK, Core Tools.
- Problem notification and escalation to suppliers.
- Ensuring production flow continuity.
- Uploading and tracking supplier issues.
- Guiding suppliers in the use of SQE tools.
- Understanding of CPK calculations, drawings, and material specifications.
- Acting as the production line contact for supplier-related issues.
