Job Summary:

We are looking for a Data DevOps Engineer to bridge development and operations, focusing on optimizing data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and deployment automation. This role ensures efficient, reliable, and secure data processing and delivery through collaboration, automation, and robust monitoring practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bridge development and operations teams to support scalable, resilient, and secure data infrastructure.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline software and data pipeline delivery using tools like Bitbucket Pipelines and Terraform.
• Optimize and manage cloud infrastructure, primarily on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including services like Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow).
• Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and software teams to ensure seamless integration of data pipelines into the broader platform architecture.
• Implement and maintain observability tools for system monitoring, logging, and alerting, improving performance and reducing incident response times.
• Design and enforce security best practices to ensure compliance and protection of sensitive data across environments.
• Contribute to the data architecture, helping shape a scalable and reliable data platform that supports business needs.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes to reduce manual effort and operational risk.

• Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)

• GCP Services (Cloud Storage, IAM, Monitoring, etc.)
• Monitoring & Logging Tools (e.g., Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Automation & Scripting (Bash, Python, etc.)

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Data Infrastructure roles.
• Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and cloud platform deployment (preferably GCP).
• Strong understanding of data pipelines, orchestration frameworks (Airflow), and containerized environments (Kubernetes).
• Experience implementing robust monitoring and logging systems.
• Knowledge of data security and compliance principles in cloud environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills, team collaboration, and a proactive mindset.
