Job Description

This position is responsible for providing direct support to the Finance Manager. This requires accomplishing a variety of accounting and project management tasks, including but not limited to AP/AR analysis both trade and IC, processing and managing journal entries, inventory accounting and standard costing analysis, review and analysis of actual financial information as it relates to monthly financial reviews and forecasts, fixed asset accounting, balance sheet account management, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and the development of processes and procedures to increase the efficiency and value of the Accounting department.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

• Completes Standard Cost calculation and update, Variance Analysis, Transfer Price update.
• Validate order board and sales projections prepared by Demand Planning
• Perform pricing, product and customer analysis as well as other general ad-hoc analysis
• Ensure BOMs and Routers are maintained and updated frequently

• Determine annual budgeted labor and burden rate for standard costing
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of labor routings and work centers
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of scrap reporting.
• Ensuring compliance with all SOX and Corporate Audit requirements.
• Complete monthly and quarterly account reconciliations according to Danfoss financial policy.
• Lead annual physical inventory and reconciliation.
• Support manufacturing operations by reviewing various aspects of plant operations, including, but not limited to manpower analysis, trend analysis, etc.
• Ensure on-time completion of monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting requirements.
• Prepare, review, analyze and interpret all financial reports for the Finance Manager and operations management as needed.
• Communicate results to ensure timely and effective decision making.
• Participate and drive the month-end closing and forecast processes.
• Perform Ad hoc analysis for Division, Sector and WHQ as needed.
• Coordinate with internal trading partners on a monthly basis to ensure all Inter/Intra company balances are accurate and reporting requirements are being met.
• Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting procedures.
• Perform annual LIFO calculation and reporting.
• Support and/or participate on Continuous Improvement Activities such as: Kaizen, Ideas Programs, cost out and/or demonstrate improvements in goals year over year in our processes or practices aligned to achieve or business goals and/objectives.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Maquiladora in similar position.
• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Familiar with Finance information Systems (Oracle, SAP, DFT, MFGPro)
