The Finance & Accounting Managed Services team provides support by addressing the challenges of achieving appropriate standards of control, efficient back office opportunities, transforming finance function by executing strategies to reduce functional and operational complexity through streamlined processes, optimising use of technology, and efficiently using resources to deliver cost effective, high quality services to all stakeholders. The team delivers core finance & accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Compliance and Controls, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting, General Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Tax, and Treasury.

As a FAMS Experienced Associate you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex accounting and finance issues from start to finish. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Contributing to the month-end closing process for a broad range of corporate accounting areas, such as inventory, payroll, bank and other balance sheet account reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, prepaids, capital assets.
Assisting with the preparation of financial statements with footnotes in accordance with accounting standards (e.g. IFRS, US GAAP)
Using technology, including but not limited to Alteryx, Databricks, PowerAutomate, PowerBI, PowerQuery, Datasnipper, to transform how manual or high-volume corporate accounting activities take place.
Performing other corporate accounting cycle functions as needed
Supporting with external auditor requests
As needed, liaising with other PwC support teams (such as corporate or indirect tax)
Identifying areas where process improvements could be implemented and then working with senior staff to streamline these tasks through application of leading accounting practice and innovative technology
Experiences and skills you'll use to solve
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, required.
Public accounting experience and/or corporate accounting experience is a strong asset
Experience with preparation of financial statements is an asset
A keen interest in identifying opportunities for process improvement, including internal controls over financial reporting and related processes
Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate new ideas?
Highly detail oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills;
