PURPOSE
The Mexico P2P/AP Analyst is responsible to review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment. They will verify and balance accounts payable records, and provide resolution for any AP discrepancies, for external vendors and internal departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
Review and process high volume of direct and indirect supplier invoices to ensure business continuity
Route invoices for approval based on company delegation of authority.
Setup new vendors and maintain existing vendor information.
Review and process internal disbursement requests.
Monitor accounts payable email inboxes.
Research and resolve vendor issues and payment inquiries.
Cross-train with other group members for vacation coverage.
Review and reconcile vendor statements on a regular basis.
Work closely with Purchasing and Receiving teams to resolve issues and discrepancies.
Research and adjust outstanding GR/IR balances to ensure there are no material and aged
items in the balance.
Validate Mexican invoices (CFDI) in order to comply with all tax requirements.
Work closely with services vendors in order to comply with tax requirements (REPSE).
Work closely with the Import-Export area to validate that vendor invoices comply with
Impo-Expo requirements for virtual pedimentos.
Preparation of Accounting Area Purchase Orders.
Vendors invoice cancellations according to the tax email (via buzón tributario).
Support to prepare Value Added tax requests and information requirements for tax authorities.
Petty cash management.
Periodically presentation of accounting KPIs in Plant results meeting.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide supporting documents for audits and control assessments.
Perform special projects and ad hoc requests as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
University degree/ Accountant or similar
Experience
2+ years of Accounts Payable processing experience required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent interpersonal communication aptitude with the ability to work well within a team setting as well as with internal and external customers.
Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel using tables, pivot tables and advanced functions.
Working knowledge of SAP and manufacturing industry preferred .
Ability to review processes and identify improvements to develop best practices.
Disciplined work ethic and the capability to handle multiple projects.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Integrity, humility,
ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities and complete work timely
Language Skills
Fluency in English required, which includes good communication skills read, oral and written.
Reads, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or government regulations.
