This is a technical accounting role focused on fund-level financial reporting, investor communications, and oversight of third-party fund administrators.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in investment fund accounting, financial statement preparation, and reporting for institutional investors. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who is well-versed in US GAAP and IFRS, real estate fund structures, and capital account reporting.
Main Responsibilities:
•Quarterly Fund Accounting & Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, capital account balances, and ILPA templates for assigned funds.
•Investor Financial Reporting: Oversee the production of quarterly investor reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting standards.
•Third-Party Administrator Oversight: Manage deliverables from external fund administrators, ensuring proper accounting treatment and reporting accuracy.
•Capital Transactions: Coordinate and review capital calls, distribution notices, and partner allocations in accordance with fund agreements.
•General Ledger & Financial Statement Review: Ensure the accuracy of fund-level trial balances, journal entries, and reconciliations.
•Investor Data & Reporting Requests: Respond to investor and consultant inquiries related to financial performance, accounting treatment, and capital activity.
•Process Improvement: Enhance accounting workflows and reporting efficiency while ensuring compliance with internal controls and GAAP standards.
•Collaboration: Work closely with portfolio management, tax, compliance, and financial reporting teams to ensure accurate and timely fund reporting.
Requerimientos del Puesto
• 5+ years of experience in fund accounting, investment accounting, audit, or financial reporting (real estate private equity preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, investment fund structures, and capital account reporting.
• Experience with financial statement preparation and investor allocations.
