We are searching for an experienced and detail-oriented candidate to join us as GL Accountant.

As a General Ledger (GL) Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining general ledger entries and reconciling financial statements. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the ledger data is accurate and precise.

Ideally, you should be working in collaboration with the various departments for accounting data. In addition to this, you should possess excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Prior working experience as a GL Accountant will be mandatory for this position.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, managing, and posting general ledger and journal entries.
• Reconciling financial and bank statements and multiple general ledger accounts.
• Preparation of Sales Tax Reports.
• Entering financial data in deferrals, accruals, and reclassifications.
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Reviewing cash deposits and preparing cash receipt journal entries in multiple currencies.
• Interpreting and analyzing financial information.
• Maintain and record fixed assets and related depreciation.
• Preparing balance sheet and profit and loss statement.
• Preparing monthly and quarterly sales commissions.
• Preparing monthly customer purchase rebates.
• Collaborating with various departments such as Sales, Legal and other departments.
• Reporting any fluctuations and variances.
• Assisting the team with accounting issues and queries.
• Working in compliance with government regulations.
• Adhering to accounting standards and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• 5+ years of experience working as a GL Accountant, or a similar role in the accounting department.
• Outstanding knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (MX-GAAP).
• Ability to solve complex accounting problems and errors.
• Proficiency in ERP accounting software
• Strong knowledge of financial bookkeeping procedures.
• Ability to manage multi-task simultaneously.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools.
• Illustrate the ability to meet deadlines.
• Team player and ability to motivate the team members.
• Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
