We are seeking a Power BI developer to work with various clients at our delivery center in Monterrey, MX. Our mission at Apex Systems is providing Insights that Inspire. As a Power BI Developer, you will help achieve that mission by giving our clients consultative guidance and technical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Inhouse agile team resource working on devops team focused heavily on PowerBI UI development tied to optimal backend data design patterns
• Optimize poorly performing reports and data models.
• Develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with warehouse standards.
• Manage Power BI workspaces and apps.
• Power BI Administration, including capacity management, deployment pipelines, usage monitoring, capacity via APIs, logs, and internal reports.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Power BI production level experience over 4-5 years 
• Strong Implementation for DAX queries over Measures and Columns
• Parameterized Queries
• Direct and Import modes for Datasets
• Dataset modelling
• PBI Row level access and security policies
• Prior experience working with business or product owners to collect requirements
• Power platform experience of using Power Apps/Cloud Flows/Custom Connectors
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
• Experience in Agile development

Nice To have:

• Integration with Azure platform services like Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL
• SQL View modelling or Spark based data modelling
