In this role, you will be responsible for generating leads, advancing the sales process, and achieving/assisting in the achievement of opportunity-based sales quotas. You will actively participate in the planning and execution of company marketing activities providing vital input based on your interactions with prospects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts
- Conduct research to identify leads and reach business targets through telephone, email, internet, and in-person
- Identify decision makers within targeted leads to begin the sales process
- Collaborate with appropriate team members to determine necessary strategic sales approaches
- Create and deliver qualified opportunities to other team members
- Daily prospecting activities, including cold calling and cold emailing
- Maintain and expand the company's database of prospects; including cold-calling
- Ensure follow-up by passing leads to appropriate team members with calls-to-action, dates, complete profile information, sources, etc.
- Set up and deliver sales presentations
- Assist in creating RFP responses to potential clients
- Where necessary, support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibits, and other events
- Make outbound follow-up calls to existing clients via telephone and email cross-sell and up-sell
- Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and convert them into sales
- Overcome objections of prospective customers
- Enter new customer data and update changes to existing accounts in the corporate database
- Keeping track of all prospecting activity metrics & presenting monthly metrics to leadership
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, or Marketing preferred
- Minimum of three years of experience desired
Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications:
- Knowledge in the building design and/or construction industry preferred
- Research experience is a plus with excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills
- Excellent sales and customer relationship skills
- Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
- Abilities to work independently, manage time wisely and prioritize tasks
- Strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Etc.)
