The vision for this role is to utilize your expertise in business intelligence and data analytics to further enable a data driven culture at Chubb; and drive alignment by providing insights to business leaders with high quality insights across domains.


The position will be responsible for the business intelligence and reporting capabilities of the international actuarial department for Chubb. Actuarial group includes Reserving, Pricing and Catastrophe risk modelling.


RESPONSIBILITIES


·      Jointly develop with actuarial team a robust approach for a holistic and highly efficient actuarial data and reporting structures

·      Create new or maintain existing reports (dashboards, graphs, and other visualizations on data) monthly by cross referencing, cleaning, and organizing data from multiple sources.

·      Liaise with similar positions in other areas (IT, Operations, Finance, Global Actuarial) to maximize and share data structure knowledge, leverage existing solutions, improve overall data quality.

·      Constantly identify areas of improvement in terms of efficiency and automation

·      Jointly develop with actuarial group monitoring and auditing tools to assess data quality.

·      Complete ad-hoc data extractions and automatizations for the actuarial group

·      Generate automatization process to get data, clean, process and generate views to actuarial team.

·      Evaluate the actual process an generate more efficient process with new technology.


REQUIREMENTS


·      3+ years of relevant experience

·      Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Mathematics, Statistics or related fields.

·      Strong analytical, technical and computer skills (scripting, querying, statistical languages)

·      Strong communication (written and oral) skills, attention to detail, time and organization management skills, problem-solving attitude

·      SQL (advanced), Full Stack programming capabilities, Python (advanced), R or statistical software (ideal not required), MS Excel (advanced).

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as QlikView/QlikSense, Tableau or Power BI
