Program Purchasing Manager

Job Objective

The Program Purchasing Manager as sub project manager purchasing is responsible for material costs with the aim to generate maximal profit for the company (cost, time, quality, innovation, risk), the achievement resulting of the given objectives with relation to function, target material costs, availability (quantity and date) and the contractual coverage of delivery items. The function is responsible for production material, tools and CAD attainment.

Description Of Main Tasks

•    Selection of materials according to function, quality, availability and price as well as project related coordination

•     Actively integrate the suppliers in the value-added chain (involvement in PEP)

•     Obtaining market, technology and supplier information from the respective Global Material Group Manager

•     Commercial and technical coordination of prototypes and pilot series

•     Change management in projects

•     As sub project manager purchasing: coordination of all purchasing activities in the project

•     Identification and implementation of cost reduction potential on project level and optimization of the variety

Skills & Competencies

•     Commercial or technical bachelor degree or comparable further training

•     3 - 6 years of professional experience in purchasing in the automotive industry

•     1- 2 years working experience in an international environment

•     First leadership experience

•     Systematic, independent and reliable way of working

•     Experience in the moderation of workshops

•     Advanced knowledge in SAP and MS-Office

•    English language on B1-B2 level (person is able to express himself/herself in an advanced level, almost fluent and precisely)
