Position Qualifications


Experience:

The candidate should have experience with new product launches as well as be able to demonstrate the skills necessary to supervise engineers and drafters while overseeing multiple projects.

+5 years Engineering, Product design, R&D experience with rotating machines (motors preferred), design of the following type components; shafts, bearings, castings, plastic moldings, gears, electrical components.


 +3 years as Team leader. Should be able to demonstrate the following leadership experiences:

-         Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make sound decisions, while working with frequently changing priorities and deadlines.

-         Above average skills with leadership, communication, facilitation, organization.

Education:

University graduate with engineering discipline (mechanical is usually more appropriate than electrical)




Knowledge:

·      Extensive knowledge CAD, 3D packages (Solidworks / AutoCAD).

·      Extensive knowledge of MRP management on Engineering module,

·      Extensive knowledge to create and change drawings

·      Extensive knowledge about structures of BOM's.

·      Understands electrical and mechanical concepts,

·      Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance) and tolerance stack ups.

·      Knowledge in dimensional inspection techniques for components including CMM, GR&R,

·      Understanding of machine elements and standards (Gears, bearings, lubricants, molding)

·      Understanding of UL/CSA as it pertains to electrical equipment, along with ISO, ASME, AGMA, and others.

·      Understanding of assembly, machining & Mfg. processes (Heat treats, machining, molding, gluing, soldering, etc.)

·      Understanding NPI & Prototypes process

·      Experience in Continuous Improvement, Cost Reduction Projects VA/VE & General Problem Solving.

·      DFMEA (Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis)

·      DOE & problem-solving techniques.

·      Strong Ability to use MS Office packages, Power Point, Word and Excel

·      Knowledge 4shift & Vault system is a plus.

·      Knowledge of design of electric motors and transmissions is a plus.

·
