Position Overview

Position must be able to perform the complete cycle of tooling development, from design conception till trial and final debugging, must be proficient on tooling design and be able to deliver these design in a 3D CAD assembly environment, must understand steel types for the different application according to design needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Create new progressive tooling design based on provided part print
• Work with engineering on manufacturability of new parts
• Work with Engineering on the details processing a new tool.
• Coordinate with tool room management the tool built and subsequent debugging.
• Must consider safety on the proposed design
• Responsible of generate the Production drawings
• Saving projects oriented
• Work with outside vendors when needed

Experience & Skills

• Verifiable experience in the position (5 years)
• Experience in designing and developing new dies
• Experience developing progressive tooling.
• Trouble shooting skills
• Experience on tool shop process (5 years)
• Fixture design
• Must understand quality reports
• Expertise in CAD Software 3D assembly environment. Solid Edge is a plus
• Experience with MS Office.
• Availability to travel, domestic and international
• English 85%

Education

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or Equivalent Experience)
