Great people make Schneider Electric a great company.The Project Manager in in charge of the execution of all the initiatives for the direct material cost-out activities in the cluster. and is responsible of:
- Lead a project portfolio of cost reduction initiatives for the direct material in the assigned plant.
- Develop, sell, lead and execute cost reduction projects in a cross-functional environment aligned to the North America region strategy. Initiatives include change of supplier, quality & value engineering changes, supply base optimization and supply risk mitigation among others.
- Coach, disrupt and lead the procurement organization in the project management/agile best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the correct deployment of the general Purchasing Strategy of cost reduction initiatives in the cluster.
- Propose cost reduction projects/ ideas (QVE, Rebalancing, etc. ) within his/her perimeter in consistency with the Purchasing strategy goals.
- Contribute to the correct purchasing database maintenance via the regular and constant update of corresponding data.
- Support and / or lead all the activities related the supply qualification system in plant according with the responsibility matrix defined.
Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Establish relations with key stakeholders and lead executive presentations with senior leadership. Communication of results and accountable for project productivity financials.
- Drive and ensure project timelines, deliverables, budget, quality, critical activities and other important KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) are within expectations and forecast.
- Lead productivity workshops to increase pipeline of new ideas and business cases for future projects opening
- Perform risk management to identify and minimize issues in program/project execution, leading discussions and tracking of action plans with proper individuals.
QualificationsQualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business
- Bilingual in English/Spanish - business proficient (written and oral)
- +3 years proven experience working in Project Management.
- Previous experience working in Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing or Supply Chain areas.
- Proactive, dynamic, self-driven, results oriented, passioned to achieve results via Influence and great communications skills
- Seeks solutions beyond his/her own frame of reference
- Availability to travel Internationally (Valid Passport and USA Visa)
Tech Skills:
- Supplier Chain knowledge (Supplier Management, Negotiation , Market analysis, Inventory Management etc.)
- Strong Project Management knowledge
- Internal Cost and Budget Management knowledge
- Oral and written communication.
- Proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint
- Database Management skills is a plus
- Experience with SAP enviroment is a plus.
Desired Skills:
- Experience working in electric or electronics manufacturing industry.
- Interpretation of engineering specs, drawings, BOM (Bill of Material), cost modeling, inventory volumes
- Master's in business administration
- Experience implementing and leading Agile (Scrum Master methodology)
- Scrum Master Certification
- Experience handling ambiguity and multiple conflicts to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced work environment
- Soft skills: Great working under pressure, strong communication skills, strategic thinking, results oriented.
