The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for a System Export in the Information Technology department and will work directly with global Quality and Regulatory business users to develop and implement systematic solutions that solve their most complex business challenges. Providing the necessary support to ensure systems are available and functioning properly during operational hours. Areas of expertise will include Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Regulatory, Import/Export, EH&S and Data Compliance.

This position will be fulltime base out of Mexico City, MEX
Who you are:
  • Be the solution expert for all systems supporting Quality Assurance (LIMS), Quality Control (QMS), Regulatory, Global Trade, EH&S and Data Compliance.
  • Works directly with business users to understand business requirements.
  • Design, configure, test and implement solutions and software applications that meet business requirements.
  • Work directly with global development teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure solutions are delivered and implemented according to specifications.
  • Provide production support for any system issues.
  • Research latest technologies that could provide value and benefit to the business.
  • Manage projects as requested including budget, timeline, and resources.
  • Work with third party software providers as required.


How you will thrive and create an Impact:
  • At least 5 years of experience working with LIMS, QMS, Trade and Regulatory systems/applications.
  • At least 3 years of experience with SAP Quality Management, SAP Global Trade System, SAP EH&S/Production Compliance, including hands on configuration of these systems.
  • Understanding of the business processes for Quality Control/LIMS, Global Trade and EH&S.
  • Knowledge of regulations and requirements for Global Trade (Import/Export)
  • Functional knowledge of GHS classification system, global SDS, Certificates of Analysis and labeling requirements. SDS, Certificate and label technology solution design & deployment desired.
  • Complete understanding of SAP Master Data, systems validation concepts, change control procedures, and full knowledge of both configuration and customization standards.
  • Effective written, oral communications and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-tasking environment, working independently and prioritizing work.
  • Must have strong teamwork skills and the ability to develop working relationships.
  • Must be able to communicate with all levels of management.


What we are looking for:
  • BS/BA or relevant work experience, required.
  • Experience with SAP QM, GTS, EH&S
  • Strong understanding of the Quality and Product Compliance business processes.


Environmental Working Conditions & Physical Effort:
  • Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.
  • Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems.
  • A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.
  • Minimal physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 10 lbs.
