Position: Compliance Engineer

Responsible for obtaining and maintaining safety(NOM) and telecom(IFT) compliance. Responsible for providing product design and process design assistance as related to NOMs requirements.

Essential Responsabilities:

• Identify and interpret NOMs/IFT standards and/or regulations that products must meet. Distill and summarize requirements to product design team and upper management. Interface with product and business development teams to develop and execute upon relevant NOMs compliance approval plans.

• Work with and/or advise engineers and others to develop pre-compliance test plans and review test results. Consult with product management and other parties to answer NOMs/IFT compliance related technical questions and advise on material selection needs. 

• Coordinate with local approval agencies to create and maintain regulatory compliance documentation and certificates, including the generation of and obtaining approvals for “Declarations of Conformity” and similar documents. Review relevant compliance periodicals and web sites, review of current and new standards, interactions with Agency personnel, and attends seminars/webinars and designated committee meetings. Bridge communication and tasks between the regulatory agency issuing the certification and our Mexican customs broker to ensure product can enter Mexico without issues. 

Education and Experience:

• Advanced English
• 4 to 7 years of experience in the field
