Job Description Primary Function of Position: Oversees Preventive Maintenance and Operations Facilities teams to ensure continuity of facilities operations of multiple sites in Mexicali. Oversee the planned predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance programs. Manage day-to-day facilities ticketing system, including repairs, special projects support and response to emergencies. Supervise maintenance and operations teams, delegate tasks, provide training, and ensure staff follows company procedures, policies, and standards. Develops and manages budget for operations and maintenance activities. Develop and maintain KPIs to measure department level of execution. Ensure compliance with local and international standards, policies, and laws concerning safety, security, and environmental care. Roles & Responsibilities: Coordinate with the Facilities Planning Supervisor to design, execute, monitor, and improve predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime, repairs, and maximize lifespan. Oversee day-to-day facilities operations including scheduling of preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and providing support for daily operations and emergencies. Collaborate with Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to develop and manage the operations and maintenance budget, including materials, spare parts, equipment, tools, contractors, and services. Lead and supervise maintenance teams and contractors, assigning tasks, providing guidance and training, measuring performance, and ensuring crews have all necessary resources, and completing work efficiently to high standards, delivering exceptional customer service. Manage contractors to ensure services align with agreed-upon terms and standards. Monitor key Performance Indicators, prepare, and analyze regular reports, identify trends, and present findings for decision-making purposes. Ensures all activities, plans, and work adhere to regulatory compliance guidelines, best practices, and standards, conducting regular inspections and audits. Develop and maintain written procedures for standard operations, including emergency response plans for critical facilities services. Implement a continuous improvement program to identify opportunities for process efficiency improvements and cost reduction in facilities processes. Maintain effective communication with customers to understand their needs and priorities, and provide updates, changes, and progress in facility management activities. Identify and address training needs and development maintenance staff to enhance their skills, knowledge, and expertise, ensuring effective and safe performance of duties. Develop and maintain a Drive-our-Culture Strategy by fostering our mission, founding principles, individual and leadership expectations. Qualifications Skills, Experience, Education, & Training: Bachelor's Degree on engineering discipline: mechanical, electrical, or industrial preferred. Minimum of 10+ years of professional experience in Facilities Maintenance and critical plant systems management. Experience of 3+ years as Maintenance Manager is preferred. Experience in a highly regulated medical manufacturing environment is preferred. Effective written and oral communication skills within a culturally diverse environment. Spanish and English communication skills is a must. Solid knowledge on the following systems and equipment: HVAC for industrial and clean environment, clean rooms and regulated industrial production environment, compressed air, electrical low and medium voltage, fire and alarm system, cleaning and sanitizing procedures, maintenance planning and scheduling, predictive inspection techniques, water treatment, contractor management, Exception team leader by example. Able to work in regulated environments like working in heights and confined spaces. Able to climb a ladder and lift light loads. Ability to respond to business needs related to facilities and installations in a cost- effective manner. Strong Project management skills. Knowledge and experience in collecting, managing, and analyzing data and trends in critical systems performance to prevent unplanned shutdowns or service interruptions of critical facilities services. Excellent software skills: MS Office Suite a must, AutoCAD and SAP preferred. Personal leadership: pro-active in achieving the shared purpose with the client group by sharing ideas and process improvements. Agility: ability to prioritize and smoothly manage multiple tasks. Ownership: personally responsible and accountable for achieving performance goals as well as those of a team; fiscally responsible.
