POSITION

Production Control Manager

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor degree on Industrial Engineering or similar

At least 10 years of experience in the automotive industry

MRP and Inventory control experience

Excel

DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES

·      Shall be responsible for monitoring inventory levels for all customers daily.

·      Shall set up shift production and set-up schedules on a daily basis.

·      Shall have authority to revise, coordinate and implement production schedule changes when required.

·      Shall monitor and make adjustments to lot sizes in the computer on a continuous basis.

·      Shall evaluate production performance to maximize efficiencies and meet

·      schedules.

·      Shall review production reports and report inefficiencies to the Plant

·      Superintendent, as required. The responsible areas will also report inefficiencies at the weekly plant production meeting for further follow-up.

·      Shall coordinate incoming materials with Plant Buyers.

·      Shall coordinate and schedule with the Maintenance Department, times for preventative maintenance and repair, as required.

·      Shall coordinate material requirements for engineering changes and obsolescence reduction.

·      Shall monitor excess inventory weekly.

·      Has the authority to issue cycle count requests and adjust inventories in the

·      computer.

·      Shall provide the Plant Manager and Human Resources Department with manpower requirements for direct labour on a monthly basis.

·      Shall resolve all delivery problems with customers and contact proper personnel, should a problem arise, as required.

·      Shall review and approve all premium freight shipments when required and forward to Plant Manager for final approval.

·      Shall be responsible for adhering to container management procedures.

·      Shall provide a new capacity plan on a monthly and quarterly basis.

·      Shall submit reports, as required, for the monthly Production Managers Meeting.

·      Shall provide leadership and guidance to all Production Control and Shipping Department personnel.

·      Shall be responsible for ensuring cross-training within the Production Control and Shipping Department is maintained.

·      Is responsible for ensuring that all duties being performed by positions reporting directly to the Production Control Manager are being completed as per Corporate Procedure.

·      Shall be responsible for maintaining an emergency contact list with names and phone numbers of those required to respond to customer concerns.

·      Shall be responsible for verifying the accuracy of product structures for products under contract to their facility.

·      Shall perform other duties as required by immediate supervisor.
