Profile Requirements

•Experience in CATIA V5 (is a must)

•Advanced English

•Industrial, mechanic Engineering/GED equivalent

•3 years cumulative auto product design experience and equivalent combination of education and/or experience

•Excellent math skills and knowledge of Descriptive geometry and Plain geometry

•Good verbal and written skills, Excellent interpersonal and organization skills.

•Knowledge of CAD systems / Unix environment.

•Knowledge of GD&T and part datum standards.

•Knowledge of Die Construction and Assembly.

•Ability to detail within CAD with minimal direction.

•Positive attitude and ability to be a team player.


Task:

•Create and verify part tolerance stacks.

•Ensure that critical dimension tolerances fall within manufacturing and assembly process capabilities. If necessary, work with Product Engineers to conduct component and assembly level design reviews to acquire and document capability data.

•Creation of both basic and intricate detail drawings of sunroof components in a CAD environment.

•Implement design and customer component design changes. Learn how to and assist in developing new basic products and makes changes in current products.

•Work with Engineers & Program designers to achieve uniformity of design, material standards and specifications.

•Develop basic concept drawings.

•Conduct design studies to support cost reduction and new business development opportunities.

•Minimal customer contact, possible local travel.

•Actively participate as a design resource for multiple programs.

•Implement individual component design relations to customer vehicle.

•Work with Program Designer, DGL and/or DQC to ensure that all program design deliverables meet program timing commitments.
