Job Activities:

• Prepare bank reconciliations, expense accruals, and journal entries for a portfolio of clients.
• Review general ledger account activity to ensure financial statement accuracy and adherence to accounting policies.
• Produce monthly financial statements (Balance sheet, P&L, income statement) and internal/external reports as needed/requested by upper management for approval.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of internal controls and segregation of duties required to drive consistent implementation of best practices.
• Prioritize and juggle multiple projects at once, particularly during month and year-end.
• Assist in operating projections, analysis, and annual budgeting.
• Partnering with the AR and AP team to ensure accuracy of their inputs into General Ledger.
• Review PL, compare budget, and identify variance.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday

• Standard schedule: 10:00 to 19:00 Mexico City time.
• During Daylight saving: 9:00 to 18:00 Mexico City time.

Minimum requirements

• MUST: Advanced English (Strong communication skills: writing and speaking).
• Bachelor in accounting or finance related.
• Around 2 to 3 years of experience working in a similar position.
• Experience within a GBS or shared service center is desired.
• Experience working with multiple accounts.
• Advanced accounting vocabulary knowledge in English
• Strong communication skills in writing in English.
• Understanding of accrual accounting and US GAAP.
• Advanced Excel.
