Colón Commodity Buyer Your tasks Responsible for component and supplier sourcing strategies for assigned product group. Provides cost and quality wise favorable quotations for required materials out of the NAFTA market. Lead supplier selection for the NAFTA region Perform cost and value analysis in cooperation with other departments, centers and product teams. Cost reduction for new purchased parts and sub-assemblies by early supplier involvement and by working with the respective Customer Team Buyer(s). Provides support to production with coordination of technical changes of purchased parts and implementation of economical improvements. Initiates and records cost avoidances during launch timeframe. Responsible for the issuance of RFQ's prior to start of production (SOP) as well as engineering changes during current production. Support the Customer Team Buyer(s) in the target setting process (defining the target prices as well as commodity implications). Your Profile Analytical skills and Cost Break Down Competitive analysis negotiation techniques Risk Management Supplier Relationship Management Experience of supplier scorecard development process and application, and the ability to produce relevant reports.
