Organization Grid Technologies Business Unit Product Management Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Early Professional As part of basic research, you will independently carry out analytical and numerical analyses to evaluate component load-bearing capacity in structural mechanics and dynamics. They develop calculation methods and carry out basic tests that are used as the basis for the development of our high-voltage products. In close coordination with the test fields, the colleagues of the development projects and partners of the company, you will support the development of our high-voltage products. How you can make a difference - Carrying out structural analyses and strength assessments of components analytically as well as by means of FEM - Implementation of optimisation measures to increase component strength, weight reduction and damage tolerance - Preparation of standard and standard-compliant strength verifications in German and English - New and further development of simulation tools and calculation methods, including the creation of macros - Familiarization with standards and regulations - Collaboration and support of development and customer projects - Support in the planning of qualification tests of high-voltage switchgear and its components - Development of technical solutions in cooperation with the respective projects - Documentation and communication of calculation results - Comparison of test and simulation results - Supervision of basic experiments What you bring to the table - Completed studies in mechanical engineering, physics or comparable courses of study - Experience in static and dynamic strength calculation using FEM - Practical experience with FEM programs, ideally ANSYS - Analytical skills and a systematic way of working to solve complex tasks - Strong teamwork and communication skills - Analytical, structured and goal-oriented way of working - Fluent in English Who is Siemens Energy?
