Job Description
As the Payroll Manager for Latin America Operations, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for multiple countries within the region including Mexico, Brazil, Argentina Chile and Colombia. This role requires expertise in payroll administration, compliance with local regulations, and effective vendor management.
Job Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end payroll operations for Latin America, including processing, reconciliation, and reporting.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure payroll data integrity and resolve discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with local payroll laws and regulations across multiple countries.
Oversee relationship and performance of the payroll vendor, ensuring SLAs are met and issues are promptly addressed.
Analyze payroll processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
Lead efforts to standardize payroll practices and implement best-in-class procedures.
Handle payroll-related inquiries and escalations from employees and internal teams.
Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations affecting Latin America countries.
Prepare payroll-related reports and metrics for management review.
Oversee and develop payroll team
Ensure payroll deliverables are delivered timely and accurately
Background & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources or related field.
Proven experience 6-8+ in payroll management, specifically in Latin America countries.
Strong understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and tax requirements in Latin America.
Experience working with payroll vendors and managing vendor relationships.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in payroll software and systems; experience with SAP Success Factors, ADP, or similar platforms is a plus.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a cross-functional environment.
Fluency in English and Spanish
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certification in Payroll (e.g., CPP) is advantageous.
Experience in project management or process improvement initiatives.
Ability to adapt to changes and work under tight deadlines.
Fluency in Portuguese
