M&A Analysts play a crucial role in assisting the M&A team in evaluating and executing potential merger, acquisition, or divestiture transactions. This position requires a strong understanding of financial analysis, business valuation, due diligence, and market research. M&A analysts are responsible for supporting the M&A process from the initial stages of target identification to the final stages of deal closing. They work closely with senior M&A professionals, corporate executives, and legal teams to facilitate successful transactions.

Responsibilities

1.    Market research. Perform industry and market research to evaluate potential targets. Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and growth opportunities to identify investment opportunities and assess potential risks.

2.    Financial analysis. Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including detailed financial modeling, valuation analysis, and sensitivity analysis, used in the investment decision making process.

3.    Due diligence. Assist in conducting due diligence processes to evaluate the legal, financial, operational, and commercial aspects of target assets and/or companies. Produce quality analysis of company and diligence information to support investment conclusions.

4.    Deal execution. Support the deal execution process by preparing analyses and materials used in the investment process.

Qualifications

·      1-3 years relevant experience

·      Investment banking or private equity experience a plus

·      Superior analytical and communication (oral and written) skills

·      Candidates must be comfortable participating in diligence meetings with senior management; portfolio companies, sponsors and other investment professionals

·      Motivated, self-starter that seeks problem solving situations

·      Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment
