Tasks to do:

The Mexico´s Corporate EHS engineer will be responsible for:

  • Being the subject matter expert for Environmental, Sustainability and EHS Management Systems for the region.
  • Keep updated with changes to local regulation and industry EHS&S standards and provide necessary support to site resources to attend regulatory inspections, keep a compliance program for day-to-day operation and projects.
  • Provide support to the Implementation and maintenance of RC14001, ISO 14001 and other management systems in the region.
  • Support the product stewardship and regulatory compliance requirements from Customers and sites.
  • Develop and execute regional EHS&S communication plans.
  • Organize and support EHS&S regional programs: Week of safety and health, reforestation day, etc.
  • Organize and conduct regional EHS&S trainings for the region and non-manufacturing employees.
  • Coordinate the Driving safety program for Mexico.
  • Implement EHS programs for employees working in customer facilities and remotely.
  • Support the sites in performing 1st party audit programs, standards GAP assessments and action plans.
  • Support the Refinish commercial teams for EHS&S requests and needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, environmental or similar
  • 5 years of experience in Environmental, Health and Safety areas
  • Strong knowledge of Environmental Mexican legislation at different levels (federal, state and municipality) and areas
  • Experience in EHS&S management systems
  • Experience in EHS&S legal procedures, regulatory inspections and permits document preparation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in Manufacturing processes, Chemical industry and Operations
  • Advanced English level
  • Availability to travel 25%
