C.A.T. Inc., is a transportation company in business for over 35 years. The company has experienced significant growth in the past few years both organically and via acquisitions. Today CAT is a conglomerate with companies in Canada, US and Mexico and is looking for a dynamic candidate to join its Real Estate Finance Team for the following opportunity in Coteau-du-lac/ Vaudreuil;
ACCOUNTING:
Collaborate closely with the Finance Director regarding:
· General Accounting and balancing with balance sheet reconciliation
· Bank Reconciliation
· Accounts Receivables and Payables reconciliation partnering with AP/AR agent
· Internal control and establish internal procedures to fo9llow for the Real Estate team
· Collect data and reconcile the financial data necessary for the group's real estate portfolio
· Consolidate companies financial result for internal review
· USD revaluation calculation
· Taxes process for each companies
· Keep financial system up to date
· Merge companies when needed
· Ensure the establishment, monitoring and compliance of regulatory reports with government authorities in each jurisdiction.
· Coordinate activities with external auditors
ACQUISITON/DISPOSITION MANAGEMENT:
Management of new acquisitions and/or disposition of buildings:
· Obtain all legal information to register accurately each new acquisition and/or disposition
· Update the rent roll to include/remove the tenants income
· Create a new business in our accounting system if necessary
INFORMATION SYSTEM:
Collaborate with Information System team for technology decision:
· Participate in the implementation of a building management system
· Ensure the application of governance rules regarding the protection and integrity of company data
FINANCIAL ANALYSIS:
· Learning about company information systems
· Develop tools and processes for analyzing the profitability of each building owns
· Recommend any improvements related to company IT systems
· Develop dashboards and financial indicators for managers and make recommendations to improve the results
Financial management and risk management:
· Coordinate the financial planning process and the budget for each building as well as the real estate department
· Collaborate to cash management
· Identify and manage business risks
SKILLS and EXPERTISE
· Good oral and written communication skills both in English and French
· Strong analytical skills
· Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced
· Resourceful
· Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
· Advanced knowledge of Excel
· Willingness and ability to evolve in a grow environment
· Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Great Plains)
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Accounting title (CPA)
• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar position
