Teradata Platform Software Engineers are key members of our Product Engineering organization responsible for developing and maintaining software allowing our product to operate in multiple deployment environments. In this role, you will work on our platform engineering team as a developer for our Solution Platform Adviser (SPA) tool. SPA provides a single self-service web based application that reduces the domain knowledge required for our sales organization, drive consumption of TCore, enable us to be a trusted advisor through data-driven performance estimation of our solutions, resulting in a reduction of sales cycles through reduced engineering involvement. In this role you will: Support our sales and engineering teams by adding the ability to model new products as they become available in a timely manner, assist our users for complex configurations and provide explanations to the metrics calculated by the application as needed Work in a team of highly skilled engineers, developing and supporting many tools used for the characterization and modeling of cloud and on-prem infrastructure Perform software engineering duties such as: problem analysis, code review, design, develop, test, troubleshoot, document and support Ensure adherence to best practices and standards Be part of the team that builds and maintains tools used by our Engineering, Global Sales Support and field sales teams The successful candidate will: Be a self-starter with an ability to quickly come up to speed on different technologies and processes Work with cross-functional teams, to build consensus on issues, and to drive projects to completion Be a team player who can quickly find common ground to solve problems Become an advocate for software quality who designs good tests, and makes recommendations to increase the quality and testability of the software Who You'll Work With: This position is for a Software Engineer for our Infrastructure Platforms team. Our team is comprised of engineers working on enabling Teradata analytic deployments across public cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
