Parts Engineer

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the Metal Mechanical industry.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in drawing interpretation.
• Knowledge or minimum 1 year of experience in Steam Turbines.
• Knowledge in the area of parts inventory (SAP for inventory).
• Office knowledge (Word, Excel, power point, Access, etc) Indispensable.
• Knowledge of macros or SQL etc. Basic indispensable
• Experience working in a team and database management.
• Used to working under short deadlines.
• EXCEL ADVANCE

Job Responsibilities:

• Interpret drawings to identify parts and component characteristics.
• Calculate life cycle of machine or turbine components
• Identify incoming and outgoing parts during maintenance of a machine or turbine.
• Identify bill of materials (consumables and components)
• Identify areas of process improvement (Reduce search time using SQL or Macros)
• Manage large databases in Excel, Word, Access etc.
• Review, execute, implement, maintain and document assigned project information.
• Comply with assigned training (turbine or quality related) and work closely with the team.
• Report progress and/or setbacks on assignments.
• Maintain contact with the customer if the assigned project requires it (customers worldwide).
• Participate directly and actively in the monitoring and implementation of the company's Quality System.
• Responsible for the good use of the resources provided and work time.
