Descripción

1.            RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES:


           The responsibilities and authorities for this position include, but are certainly not limited to:


3.1 Develop and manage, as a strategic business partner, the organizational structure and talent pool that support the company core business goals as required.

3.2 Develop and manage HR infrastructure (policies and procedures, staff) that support the organizational core business goals as required.

3.3 Promote an atmosphere of teamwork at all times.

3.4 Ensure that sufficient resources are available for each department including training, safety requirements, personnel, work instructions, procedures, and related tools.

3.5 Assist in any way to any employee, necessary to promote a successful operation emphasizing customer satisfaction.

3.6 Directs supervisors in maintaining positive employee relations and safe work environment.

3.7 Promote positive Labour Relations within the facility

3.8 Champion grievance procedure following the Collective Agreement

3.9 Maintain an accurate human resources system including employee personnel files, HR Information Systems and other relevant electronic data files

3.10    Oversee accurate completion of daily time sheets and completion of weekly payroll and associated tasks.

3.11    Oversee effective claims management including investigation of incidents, completion of required forms and reporting on all workplace injury compensation cases (e.g. WSIB, State Workers Compensation)

3.12    Administer all employee benefits and company retirement savings plans.

3.13    Provide leadership in training and development including needs analysis, development,    coordination, assessment and record keeping of training

3.14    Lead the Facility's Performance Management system including managing company processes including job descriptions, performance discussions, evaluations and interventions and record keeping.

3.15    Oversee the processes to coordinate and maintain all employee vacation time and vacation pay records.

3.16    Manage employee absenteeism and attendance program and report on statistics.

3.17    Lead the Recruitment Process to effectively select employees for all internal and external

    available positions.

3.18    Manage, coordinate, and facilitate all aspects of Health and Safety

3.19    Champion the investigation of employee relations issues including the development and

    implementation of recommendations.

3.20      Maintain all HR plant related forms and documents to ISO/14001 and ISO9001/IATF16949

     standards.

3.21    Lead the development and implementation of continuous improvements to human resources

    systems, policies and procedures.

3.22    Where a plant is union free champion a plan to remain union free and participate in team member committee meetings as necessary

3.23    Where a union exists at the plant provide interpretation and direction regarding the collective agreement to the plant management group, and participate in collective bargaining agreement negotiations.

3.24    All other duties as assigned by the Corporate Director, HR/or the Plant/General Manager.

3.25    This position may directly manage the Human Resources Coordinator role or Receptionist role, where applicable

3.26    Ensure that a clean and safe work environment is always maintained.

3.27    Where a support role exists within the human resources department of the plant, the Human Resources Manager will delegate the above outlined responsibilities as appropriate and will maintain accountability for each of the tasks outlined.

3.28    This position may directly manage the Environmental, Health & Safety Coordinator role, where applicable (FPP) but maintains overall accountability.
