We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Incident Response Specialist to join our LATAM team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Vulnerability Incident Response (VIR) and Security Incident Response (SIR), equipped to handle and mitigate security threats effectively. This role is crucial for maintaining the security and integrity of our information systems.


Location: 100% Remote (anywhere from Mexico)

Modality: Contractor


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and conduct security incident response efforts, including identification, containment, eradication, and recovery from security incidents.
  • Develop and implement strategies to respond to and recover from a security breach.
  • Analyze and respond to vulnerabilities identified within the system.
  • Prepare reports of findings, outcomes, and propositions for improving the security and incident response measures.
  • Coordinate with IT and cybersecurity teams to strengthen the security posture of the organization.
  • Conduct post-incident analysis to identify root causes and systemic issues.
  • Stay updated with the latest security threats, response techniques, and mitigation technologies.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Security Incident Response (SIR) and Vulnerability Incident Response (VIR).
  • Strong understanding of various security frameworks, incident management processes, and forensic investigation techniques.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Incident Handler (E|CIH), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or similar.
  • Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments and manage multiple incidents simultaneously.
  • Fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese; proficiency in English is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
  • Knowledge of current cybersecurity trends and hacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and data protection laws relevant to cybersecurity in the LATAM region.
