Site Procurement Manager


We are looking for a passionate and self-driven individual who likes working in an international environment on a day–to–day basis, to join our regional Group Procurement Team.


The ideal candidate has 10+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing setting

for Direct and Indirect Procurement and a bachelor's degree in science, economics, or business administration.


The purpose of the positions is overall management of site procurement activities, in collaboration with Global and Regional Purchasing Category Directors Managers, and internal Stakeholders, focusing on all aspects of safety, quality, cost, and service levels.

 

The individual will be responsible for procurement activities for three sites in the USA (Wampum, Coraopolis, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania).


Responsibilities:

 

-Collaborate with Site Procurement Managers in the region to establish standards for procurement processes;

-Build a strong network with end users in Wampum, Coraopolis, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania;

-Develop strong knowledge and technical expertise of Goods and Services to be purchased at the plants and ensure their end application;

-Ensure compliance at all stages of the purchasing process;

-Negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best market rates;

-Ensure cost savings and supply security projects are delivered on time;

-Ensure timely processing of purchase orders;

-Support inventory management programs, in collaboration with Supply Chain teams;

-Develop purchasing reports and improvement plans;

-In coordination with owners and end users, help establish acceptable service levels and specifications for materials to be purchased;

-Provide required Site Procurement Performance Reports to the NAFTA Procurement Director bringing transparency to site spending in detail;

-Liaison between Operations, Quality, Technical, Supply Chain teams and Global/ Regional Category Management teams;

-Ensure timely delivery of goods and services to the plants;

-Ensure on-time and fully functional commissioning of CAPEX projects.

-Identify out-of-the-box opportunities for the plants and also contribute to other sites' Procurement Performance Improvement;

-Collaborate with suppliers for continuous improvement, technical upgradation, and HSE management;

-Conduct periodic vendor audits in cooperation with a cross-functional team.

 

Requirements:

 

-Proficiency in Microsoft Office with a focus on MS Excel;

-Experience and knowledge of ERP systems, such as JDE/ SAP;

-Negotiation skills;

-Understanding of duty/ tax implications on goods and services across countries;

-Basic understanding of Logistics;

-Problem-solving and strong analytical skills and mindset;

-Ability to prioritize work assignments;

-Excellent oral and written communication in English;

-Empathy and warmth for end users;

-Have a passport and valid USA VISA
