Minimum Degree Required:

Bachelor Degree

Minimum Years of Experience:

5 year(s) of experience in DataOps Engineering or DBA.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

• Administer, Configure, Patch, Upgrade,etc - Relational SQL and NoSQL databases including, but not limited to, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Couchbase, ArangoDB, Cosmos, MySQL etc.
• Migration of databases from legacy systems to cloud data platforms like Azure, GCP and AWS.
• Maintain a platform performing regular tasks such as user management and audit, resource utilization, alerts monitoring.
• Have a good understanding of data platform best practices to achieve economies of scale, cost reduction and efficiencies.
• Excellent knowledge to manage Database performance tuning, backup and recovery methods, DB automation using PowerShell and Bash scripting.
• Maintain data within a warehouse environment supporting delivery of quality data outputs.
• Experience with monitoring solutions via DataDog

Additional skills preferred:

• Previous experience working in an Operations/SRE team
• Knowledge or Experience with Azure DevOps
• Security: Encryption; Network security; Network topology

Secondary skills:

Demonstrates thorough knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

• Python and experience with data extraction, data cleansing and data wrangling;
• SQL and experience with relational databases;
• Data modeling, data mapping, data governance and the processes and technologies commonly used in this space;
• Data integration tools (e.g. Talend, SnapLogic, Informatica) and data warehousing / data lake tools;
• Cloud technologies such as SaaS, IaaS and PaaS within Azure, AWS or Google and the associated data pipeline tools;
• Linux and proven comfort level with bash scripting;
• Presenting technical and non-technical information to various audiences;
• Transforming and analyzing large data sets and deriving insights from data using various BI and data analytics tools;
• Thinking differently to solve complex business problems;
• Securely handling data both in motion and at rest such as communication protocols, encryption, authentication, and authorization;
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability, etc
• Evaluate data importance and manage production of data pipelines
• Must have excellent communication (Both verbal/written)
• Must be proficient to develop technical documentation/playbooks
• Must be an individual contributor to handle all the project deliverables
• Independently develop and sustain technical knowledge, certifications and skills.
• Effectively multi-task handling day-to-day assignments, and work with minimal supervision
