Finance IT Business Consultant - RAR Revenue Design

Description -

Revenue Design team is part of the 'Finance and Corporate Functions Organization and is responsible for implementing Integrated and compliant Revenue solutions on S4/ RAR as per US GAAP and Local GAAP.

As a part of the Fin Corp function, the role will be the bridge between Technology and business working closely with IT teams and Business & Finance teams. It involves implementing Design solutions in compliance with HP Revenue Policies as per AFM, Local legal requirements and CFR Guidance. This role also involves extensive collaboration, trainings, and communication with several stakeholders like CFR, BU Fin, Controllership, FGO, HPIT, Business teams, Revenue Deep Support and various teams within Finance and Corporate Functions organization. It identifies opportunities for leveraging standardized IT solutions and cultivates relationships with tactical leaders and contributes to complex projects.

This role offers an opportunity to gain insight into the existing as well as new emerging Revenue models for HP. This will give an immense learning opportunity across the business process, Finance functions as well exposure to the system landscape. Additionally, your contribution will ensure accuracy and integrity of HP's Financial Statements, while collaborating with both Finance and IT teams.

The key responsibilities as a Revenue Design team member includes:
  • Revenue System Design across POA, MADO and Business Innovation Projects, encompassing multiple portfolios like Software, Hardware, Care pack, Software and Services.
  • Revenue Design & Migrations off Legacy systems to S4/ RAR and ensure no Revenue leakage.
  • Implement Revenue Reporting capabilities on BI/ S4 for Internal reviews and External compliance.
  • Act as the interface between IT and Finance functions
  • Provide ongoing support and training to finance teams on Revenue Design and process.
  • Enable SOX Controls/ External Audit compliance for Revenue.
  • Identify opportunities for Process improvements and engage in design changes.


Education, Experience and Skills Required:
  • First level university degree with a focus in business; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred).
  • 7 - 10 years of experience as a financial analyst or Project implementations.
  • Experience preferred in or Willingness to learn S4 HANA / RAR.
  • Able to lead complex process design and manage End to End Design
  • Excellent communication, teamwork skills including the ability to work cross functional.
  • Strong business acumen and project management skill
