Leads a team composed of quality, engineering, production, planning, materials, and continuous improvement professionals as well as the whole operational staff of an independent manufacturing units.

Description

  • Ensures that the daily routine is being carried out around the visual management system, reviewing the operations KPIs and Continuous Improvement activities daily.
  • Partners with support area managers to ensure that employees who have 2 reporting lines or channels have clear expectations, roles and responsibilities.
  • Maintains a safe work environment for all employees and visitors, as well as complies with all government regulations and EHS policies.
  • Promotes a Zero Mindset: zero accidents, zero defects, zero backorders and zero waste.
  • Ensures that the quality system for the area is maintained to comply with ISO 9001 / IATF16949 standards.
  • Ensures that products are manufactured on time and according to the customer's quality requirements and thus guarantee that the delivery schedule to them is met.
  • Manages the financial aspects of the Focused Factory (AOP, capital, launch, etc.).
  • Champion of continuous improvement activities within the Focused Factory.
  • Works with staff to establish Focused Factory AOP objectives, reviews and maintains a portfolio of continuous improvement projects so that AOP objectives are met or exceeded.
  • Develop and execute systems and processes that meet or exceed Focused Factory objectives for safety, quality, delivery, cost and material control.
  • Coordinate and participate in all IATF 16949, ISO 14001, VDA-6.3, customer and safety and hygiene requirements determined by the company
  • Plan and manage delivery requirements, inventory levels, labor productivity and asset utilization.

Profile

- Engineering Degree + MBA desirable

- Knowledge on ISO 9000, ISO 14000, IATF 16949 standards

- +5 Years of experience working on a High Performance automotive manufacturing environment

- Production of High volume high mix programmes

- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles

- Desirable previous experience managing materials and logistics within the automotive industry

- Strong leadership and communications skills.

- Knowledgeable on DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Planns, DVP&R, etc

- Advanced English
