Senior Product Designer w/Design System Experience: Shape the Future of User Experience (100% Remote!)

As a Senior product designer at Mitratech, you will:

• Lead the design of new features and products, from ideation to launch.
• Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to create user-centered designs that meet business and user needs.
• Conduct user research to understand our users' needs, pain points, and motivations.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to communicate your design ideas.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure that your designs are implemented correctly.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest design trends and technology and provide solutions to our most prominent clients from Fortune 500 companies.

Design System Leadership:

• Lead the design and implementation of the design system's visual language, which will encompass typography, color, iconography, and componentry.
• Maintain documentation to support the design system and ensure successful integration across product teams. (Using tools like Zeroheights).
• Conduct end-to-end audits of our UI, visuals, and design system to identify discrepancies and push the system forward while aligning with Mitratech's brand guidelines.
• Maintain Design System's Figma libraries for desktop and mobile platforms
• Guide relevant products in adopting the design system.
• Provide design leadership and guidance to teams on using shared patterns and identify opportunities to create new patterns and components within their workstreams.
• Develop a framework for accessibility and inclusion in the design and development process.
• Provide regular updates to leadership on successes, challenges, perspectives, and preferences.

What you will need:

• Bachelor's degree with 7-10 years of design experience OR a Master's degree with 6 years of design experience and 2 years of web development experience.
• Experience working with US teams.
• Experience managing design projects for multiple scrum teams.
• Strong knowledge of UI/UX design processes and excellent design skills.
• Experience with design thinking, usability, and accessibility testing.
• Creative problem solver who meets deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in HTML/CSS/JS, with experience in preprocessors, libraries, and component libraries.
• Collaborates with developers and understands technical limitations.
• Familiar with front-end frameworks like React or Angular is a plus.
• Portfolio showcasing design systems and processes
• Proven experience designing complex web and mobile applications across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Web).
• Expertise in creating and maintaining design systems using tools like Zeroheight, Knapsack, and Figma.
• Experience working in diverse, fast-paced environments.
