We are looking to hire a Regional Buyer - Non Production to join our team at Steering Plant, Querétaro.


Responsibilities:


  • Support ZF Mexico Facilities through procurement of all indirect material
  • Prepare RFQs, examine prices, evaluate all quotes that are received, monitor the availability of items, compare specifications, and review alternatives to determine most desirable suppliers
  • Maintain supplier relationships focusing on superior quality, competitive price, and timely delivery
  • Supports Supply Chain of Indirect Materials
  • Defines and negotiates Statement of Work, Supply and Warranty Agreements and other Contractual/legal items as required
  • Drives continuous improvement, KANBAN, VMI, consignment, e-Commerce through negotiations.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Economics or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a professional purchasing capacity (mainly handling of indirect materials, prefered experience in spares / facility maintenance / packaging or tools)
  • Deep knowledge of purchasing tools, negotiation methods, and business communications
  • Working knowledge of assigned commodities, materials, processes
  • Working Knowledge of cost improvement/containment topics and techniques
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project etc.)
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast paced, high-volume environment
  • Proven ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel and management
  • Experience with ERP
  • Bilingual
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
