Analyst Planning and Logistics
  • Manage suppliers demand and logistics in order to support production adherence and delivery to customers. Maintain inventory levels of material according to company goals. Reduce excess & obsolete material making sure material arrives on time and on small lot sizes with the optimum freight cost. Coordinate and provide support to Plant with critical shortages, balance out's, ramp up/down's, new projects.

Responsabilities
  • Schedule and Run MRP by Plant according to Standard Process.
  • Send firm Releases and Forecast to suppliers. Validate process. Post information in Supplier Portal. Transmit EDI.
  • Releases Management.
  • Support to BTS (manufacturing) and FG Shipments to end customers.
  • Follow up to shortages report (per supplier and plant), based in DOH, Open Orders.
  • Provide information related with quantities, ETA (estimated time arrivals), tracking #, carrier information, to Plant Materials Group.
  • Daily meetings with Suppliers, Materials Plant Group and XPO Logistics, for shortages follow up.
  • Conciliate Orders (PKC/Suppliers).
  • Early Shipments Analysis and Control per supplier.
  • Reschedule In / Out Firm Orders with suppliers.
  • Negotiate with suppliers orders cancellation
  • Review items with exceptions (AutoCreate, not in a BPO), and place orders properly.
  • Coordinate and ensure supplier shipments to have the optimum freight cost.
  • Identifying and implementing cost savings initiatives.
  • Integrate the business processes and IT systems of suppliers.
  • Communicate in advance suppliers' performance in order to expose issues ahead that prevent to support production plans.
  • Supplier communication on delivery performance issues.
  • Coordinate Engineering changes and ramp up/downs with suppliers.
  • Review stock with PKC/MSSL Plants (Mexico, Brazil, Estonia, China) distributors, competitors, manufacturers when a shortage is detected.
  • Review and propose alternative options with Suppliers, Program Management, Plant Engineers, Design, Materials, when a shortage is detected.
  • Quote with suppliers.
  • Prepare Spot Buys for Commodity Buyers/Managers approval. Follow up with suppliers.
  • Attend scheduled meetings with Plants/Program Management, to provide answers related with shortages, launches, balance out's, new projects.
  • Setup Premium Freights at Logistics Databases.
  • Participate, Suggest and coordinate XPO Logistics Initiatives.
  • Prepare and Coordinate information between Suppliers and Purchasing for improving initiatives implementation.
  • RMA Process follow up.
  • Review and coordinate data with A/P and Materials Receiving associates for missing payments.
  • Train to suppliers in Supplier Portal System.
  • Manage Exceptions Plants Requests thru Exceptions Database System.
  • Request approvals and coordinate information with import-export depts. (supplier & PKC), to move raw material in Mexico, thru "Virtual Pedimentos".
  • Comply with the fulfil environmental, safety and health legal requirements set out in the legislation and regulations of our customers and other applicable stakeholder's requirements to whom we are related to our activities and products, as well as those EHS requirements established by the Company.

Required profile

Education/ experience :
  • Administration or Engineer degree
  • 1 Years of experience in automotive business, in areas related to Manufacturing, Materials, Planning, Logistics and/or Purchasing
  • Internal candidates: at least one year in current position
