As a Sr. SMT Technician here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production line. You will utilize your expertise in SMT assembly and troubleshooting to lead the team in setting up, programming, installing new SMT lines, and maintaining SMT equipment. You will report directly to our Manufacturing Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Ciudad Juarez, Chih. In this role, you will impact the production efficiency and quality of our electronic components. By effectively managing the SMT production line, optimizing equipment performance, and ensuring adherence to quality standards, you will contribute to the success of our operations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Configure, Setup, install, program, and maintain SMT equipment (Solder Paste Printer, 3D SPI, Pick & Place machine, Reflow Oven, 3D AOI & etc.) • Perform SMT assembly and troubleshooting • Conduct quality inspections and ensure adherence to standards • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues • Train and mentor junior technicians • Continuously improve SMT processes and procedures. • Monitor machine performance and adjust as necessary to maintain optimal production output and the OEE into the target. • Conduct routine maintenance on SMT equipment to ensure its proper functioning. • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime. • Verify and update machine programs as required for different product runs. • Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production data, and quality control checks. • Any other duties assigned. • Respond to site equipment and process / equipment alarms, troubleshoot, and make effective repairs. • Follow Company Policies and Procedures as they pertain to position. • Follow Company Safety Practices and Procedures • Perform assigned duties with a high degree of proficiency and mindfulness of personal safety and those around you and report any safety hazards and help repair as needed
