Summary: The Accounting Supervisor, based in the CDMX, will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing internal control systems to directly influence the hotel's financial health, with a keen focus on optimizing profitability. This position entails managing key accounting activities, supervising a team, ensuring financial compliance, and supporting budget and forecasting processes.


Tareas:

• Proporcionar dirección y liderazgo a todas las funciones contables y financieras, incluyendo cuentas por pagar/cobrar, libro mayor, nómina, conciliaciones bancarias y gestión de efectivo.

• Supervisar y orientar al personal contable, garantizando precisión, eficiencia y cumplimiento de las políticas y procedimientos de la empresa.

• Preparar estados financieros y informes precisos mensuales, trimestrales y anuales.

• Colaborar con el gerente general y los jefes de departamento para preparar presupuestos y mantener objetivos y metas presupuestarias.

• Monitorear y hacer cumplir los controles internos, recuentos de efectivo, inventarios, etc., para salvaguardar los activos de la empresa.

• Garantizar el cumplimiento de los requisitos de informes gubernamentales locales, estatales y federales, así como las presentaciones de impuestos.

• Coordinar con auditores externos y participar en la preparación y respuestas durante las auditorías.



Duties & Responsibilities:

• Providing direction and leadership to all accounting and finance functions including accounts payable/ receivable, general ledger payroll, bank reconciliations, and cash management.

• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to company policies and procedures.

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.

• Partnering with the GM and department heads to prepare budgets and maintain budget goals and objectives.

• Monitoring and enforcing internal controls, cash counts, inventories, etc to safeguard company assets.

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

• Liaise with external auditors and participate in audit preparations and responses.


Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in the hospitality or related industry.

• Proficient English skills, both written and verbal. (Level B1 +)

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.

• Effective management, leadership, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
