Summary:

The Corporate Accounting Specialist plays a crucial role in our dynamic hotel management company by ensuring accurate financial transactions, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to the overall financial health of our organization. This position involves managing various accounting tasks related to multiple hotel properties, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.



Deberes y Responsabilidades

  • Supervisar el proceso de Cuentas por Pagar, asegurando precisión y cumplimiento de las políticas de la empresa.
  • Revisar y aprobar facturas para el pago, verificando la codificación y la autorización adecuada.
  • Ingresar facturas y procesar pagos de manera oportuna.
  • Realizar sesiones de capacitación para líderes de propiedad sobre los procesos y procedimientos de ingreso de cuentas por pagar.
  • Brindar apoyo continuo y orientación a los líderes de propiedad para garantizar una entrada de datos de cuentas por pagar consistente y precisa.
  • Realizar conciliaciones bancarias mensuales para asegurar la precisión de las transacciones financieras.
  • Investigar y resolver discrepancias de manera oportuna.
  • Colaborar en proyectos financieros y análisis ad hoc según sea necesario.
  • Colaborar con equipos interfuncionales para proporcionar información financiera y apoyar la toma de decisiones.
  • Mantener registros financieros organizados y actualizados para todas las transacciones.
  • Conciliar cuentas regularmente para identificar y resolver discrepancias.
  • Implementar y gestionar sistemas de informes de devoluciones para mejorar la eficiencia y precisión.
  • Analizar datos de devoluciones para identificar tendencias y recomendar mejoras en los procesos.
  • Establecer y trabajar para lograr una tasa de respuesta del 100% en todos los hoteles de Arbor Lodging.
  • Buscar tasas de reversión elevadas abordando proactivamente discrepancias financieras y devoluciones.


?Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Accounts Payable process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies. Review and approve invoices for payment, verifying coding and proper authorization.
  • Input invoices and process payments in a timely manner.
  • Conduct training sessions for property leaders on AP input processes and procedures. Provide ongoing support and guidance to property leaders to ensure consistent and accurate AP data entry.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial transactions. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Assist in ad hoc financial projects and analyses as needed. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial information and support decision-making.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records for all transactions. Reconcile accounts regularly to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Implement and manage chargebacks reporting systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Analyze chargeback data to identify trends and recommend improvements in processes.
  • Set and work towards achieving a 100% response rate across all Arbor Lodging hotels.
  • Strive for high reversal rates by proactively addressing financial discrepancies and chargebacks.


The Successful Corporate Accounting Specialist Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required, CPA or MBA a plus
  • Hospitality or Real Estate experience a plus
  • M3 and Hotel PMS system experience a plus
  • Superior ability to prioritize and focus in a high-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Ability to quickly learn and use new technology software applications
  • Superior communications skills
  • Cooperative team player and ability to work independently
  • Interest in personal and professional development and advancement
  • Assist in on-time delivery of accurate financial packages for the assigned properties
