As Tooling Management Engineer, you will lead all aspects of the business (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Productivity) of a defined department within a manufacturing operation. this position will play a critical role in optimizing and enhancing our automotive manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and overall operational performance. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities, design innovative solutions, and implement best practices that drive continuous improvement within our production facilities. The candidate should also be able to recommend improvements to maintain or increase the efficiency of production to reduce cost. 

Responsibilities:

• Oversees the development and creation of the Master Tool List (Including the assembly and disassembly).
• Work closely with Design Engineer to prepare the Tool Layout folders and Tooling Design
• Responsible of the tooling request and registration on SAP (prototypes and mass production)
• Analyze and calculate the tool life of each, provide follow up to the optimization proposals and prepare the reports with the result to the management team.
• Grant support to production area to attend and offer solutions to issues regarding tooling
• Attend daily meetings and Safety walks to present information and status of the Tooling KPIs.
• Oversees and provide follow up to the initial test for new tooling.
• He is the owner of the control, maintenance and modification of all documents related to Tooling.(Master Tool List, Tool Lay Out, Tool Drawing).
• Integrate the new tools developed to the productive process (manufacturing, implementation and follow up to the change process).
• Analyze and identify the root cause about tools broken or damaged and provide actions to prevent recurrence.
• Oversees and analyze the Tooling consumption and react to avoid any impact to the production (downtime).
• Coordinate the test, issues and complaints with the tooling suppliers.
• Fulfill other tasks assigned by Tooling and Machining Manager.

Qualifications

Educational Background:

• BSc/BA or Masters Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineer or Mechanical Engineer.

Work Experience:

• 1+ years working relevant experience in Engineering or Tooling in the Automotive Industry.
• If you had previous experience as Trainee or Junior Engineer is a Plus

Language Skills:

• Spanish- Business Fluent
• English - Conversational - Business Fluent
• German - Hepful
