Responsibilities
Conducting technical drainage analysis and design calculations for continuous and single-event rainfall modeling.
Analysis of basins, hydrographs, development and routing of maximum discharges.
Software expertise includes HEC-HMS, SWMM, TR-55, SBUH and HSPF method programs.
Pavement drainage, culverts, storm systems, pumping stations, bridge sizing, sediment transport, liner design, and coastal considerations for road drainage.
Understanding of FHWA's hydraulic engineering technical reports and design series.
Stormwater quantity/quality calculations, LID, NPDES compliance and erosion control
Development of drainage plans, profiles, specifications and estimates for transportation projects and hydraulic resources. This includes dirt roads, grading and other design components through models such as Inroads, Arc-GIS and other pre- and post-processing software packages.
Experience with international codes desirable (AASHTO, DOT).
Requirements
+10 years of relevant experience
Proficiency in 3D civil engineering design software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and presentation skills
Willingness to travel to different project sites as needed.
