Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Materials Superintendent to oversee the materials operations at our multiple plants. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials management, supplier management, and a proven track record of implementing effective strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the materials operations at each plant, ensuring that inventory levels are maintained to meet production demands.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve materials management processes, including inventory control, supplier management, and materials planning.
• Collaborate with plant managers and other key stakeholders to ensure that materials requirements are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Monitor and analyze materials management KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure that materials are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
• Lead and develop a team of materials professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure that department goals are met.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in materials management, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of materials management principles and best practices.
• Experience with ERP systems, (SAP)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
