We are looking for a principal architect to join our Design team within the Real Estate Development business to drive our luxury hospitality projects.
In this role, you will be responsible for deploying high design standards that meet industry leading benchmarks across several real estate projects of the company, support the design director in translating the initial design intent into the completed project and secure overall user experience of luxury hospitality asset on a highest level on every phase of design development.
A successful candidate must have a significant experience in leading architectural design teams in development of five-star hotels, villas, top level private residences in tropical and seashore areas from concept stage till completion.
Responsibilities:
Working on high-end and potentially iconic residential / luxury hospitality projects
Leading and managing versatile design teams across all stages of the project
Developing design strategy, overseeing design delivery timeline, controlling deliverables completeness and quality
Managing the design department, distributing the workload rearranging roles, tasks, recruiting new and evaluating in-house members'performance
Building strong relationships with stakeholders, suppliers and contractors
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture
10+ years of experience in design consultancy, PMC or general contractor's office
Clear track record of managing teams of at least 10 people on at least two projects at a time
Experience working on high-end residential / hospitality projects
At least 3 completed projects with a full time involvement in design development and construction supervision in the last six years
Knowledge of peculiarities of design & construction in tropical areas, especially Caribbean and South America
Familiarity with luxury construction materials market in South American region
Good negotiation and communication skills, incl. external consultants, suppliers, manufacturers, consultants
Deep understanding and applied skill of BIM development in Revit and ACC environment
Understanding of CGI techniques, software, approaches
English and Spanish knowledge - professional (C1)
Capability to work regular (9-17) working hours in UTC-3 or UTC±0 timezone
Nice to have:
Portuguese and / or Italian knowledge
Knowledge of Costa Rica, Brazil and Dominican Republic's building codes and construction legislation
