Job Summary:

Looking for a senior regional buyer, where you will have a great opportunity to work for a rapidly expanding company and a purchasing department that already supports you. You will play an essential role in hiring the indirect, MRO, Services, and Capex categories. The Senior Regional Buyer will also oversee all administrative aspects related to the purchasing department, creating and streamlining purchase orders, maintaining the AVL (Approved Supplier List).


Essential Functions:

  • Purchasing tasks from the receipt of the purchase requisition, understanding the requirements and elaboration of the best procurement action, contracting strategy to the placement and recognition of a purchase order.
  • Request, review, and compare quotes that help support global commodity strategies.
  • Requests for quotation and negotiation of indirect materials and services under the assigned products in accordance with the Indirect Procurement process/procedures.
  • Design negotiation strategies and conduct negotiations with suppliers.
  • Review and follow-up of contracts with suppliers and SLAs
  • Identify opportunities in assigned raw materials (products and services)
  • Establish effective relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., technical functions, production maintenance) with the aim of ensuring early involvement and effective project coordination.
  • Analyze and monitor market trends and recommend alternative suppliers where appropriate/benchmarking.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and recommend solutions for cost savings/avoidance, on-time deliveries, and overall quality.
  • Ensure that all purchase orders are accurately created and recorded in our Epicor MRP system.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure parts are delivered in accordance with our MRP requirements.
  • Help maintain companies' AVL (Approved Supplier List), ensuring up-to-date certificates, compliance data, and supplier information as per department procedures.
  • Ensure corporate compliance with the procedures of the purchasing and quality departments.
  • Monitor supplier performance by department KPIs.
  • Communicate regularly and manage the supply base to avoid and resolve any delivery, quality, or pricing issues.
  • Help resolve any queries about month-end invoices, purchasing ledger, or reservation queries.
  • Support the company in any other tasks and ad hoc projects as needs arise.
  • Monitor and advise on any issues that present risk or opportunity to the organization.
  • Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply issues that may affect business operations.


Requirements:

  • Procurement experience (automotive or other)
  • 5 years of minimum professional experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Contract Management or equivalent position.
  • Bachelor's Degree Completed
  • Computer skills using Microsoft packages, including Outlook for email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MRP systems.
