The Opportunity
Manage customs imports agenda for site Mexicali. Support the company's efforts in obtaining accurate supply of raw materials, spare parts, machinery with key focus on minimizing budget impacts and mitigate regulatory risks exposures. This agenda is sustained by high interaction with Mexican and us customs brokers; domestic and international carriers and effective government liaisons. Also working along with PMF and FLNA areas such as procurement, planning and R&D is essential such as direct communication with FLNA/PMF suppliers, vendors and clients.
Your Impact
As Import & Export Analyst your functions would consist of
Guarantee operations continuity by arranging logistics and tax payment strategies for spare parts imports as well as machinery repairs, returns and replacements.
Strengthen import s planning and procurement schedules by assuring that warehousing, transportation and customs brokers capacities always meets the operation needs with focus on budget and rates according to PNL and GPS controls.
Comply with government incentive programs tasks with such relevance for MX25 in terms of temporary imports and tax duties exemptions which are IMMEX and VAT Certification that requires to administrate a reconciliation inventory control system called Anexo 24 and Anexo 31 both with high levels of maintenance and accuracy.
Assure the correct federal taxes payments, making sure that the imported goods are classified correctly and operations are properly executed, guaranteeing the right taxes application and administration.
Secure comprehensive record keeping of all operations conducted thru mexicali site such as, certificates of origin and entry manifests, invoices, waybills that will mitigate sanctions when addressing a government audit such as SAT or CBP.
